#GivingTuesday 2018: The Power of Movement
The Parkinson Council is proud to celebrate #GivingTuesday on Tuesday, November 27, 2018. Our #GivingTuesday campaign is designed to support movement classes (dance, yoga, and boxing) for people with Parkinson’s and their care-partners.
Lori, a Dance for PD participant, shares: “When I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s I did not know how valuable exercise would be to me. Taking this Dance for PD class has been special because while I’ve sat on the edge of my seat watching my daughter in her school performances, now I can step out on stage and be a dancer myself. And I’ve realized that physical exercise is probably the thing I do that holds back the progression of the disease.”
