Philadelphia Museum of Art Accessible Programs for People with Parkinson’s Disease and their Care Partners
In this six-week workshop, everything Thursday, starting December 6, 2018 through January 17, 2019, participants will receive art instruction by Janice Merendino, who will also provide a one-hour guided private tour at the beginning of Class #3. Classes will focus on different aspects of self-portraits. As participants observe themselves, and learn new skills and techniques, they will discover new things about themselves that may not have been realized, physically and emotionally.
Workshops are designed for people with Parkinson’s and their care partners and include a six weeks of art instruction and a one-hour private guided tour. Participants need to commit to at least 5 of the 6 classes. The fee is $20.00 per person. Care partners and personal attendants are admitted free. Parking is free of charge.
