Young Philanthropist Profile: Kaitlyn Gammon
Kaitlyn Gammon had an idea.
She wanted to do something in memory of her late grandfather, who lived with Parkinson’s disease for 17 years. Even though she and her family have participated in A Walk to Stamp Out Parkinson’s for the last five years as members of Team Porter-Tuck, she wanted to do more.
With an upcoming birthday celebration, she decided to ask family and friends to make a donation to The Parkinson Council in memory of her grandfather instead of birthday gifts. As a result of her selfless humility, TPC received gifts totaling $1200 from Kaitlyn’s family, friends, and neighbors.
We are so grateful to Kaitlyn and her family for being an inspiration to other young people in our community. Their compassion and generous spirit is a role model for other families living with Parkinson’s disease. Thank you Kaitlyn for your giving heart!
