Education

The Parkinson Council is excited to host a free event designed for families impacted by Parkinson's. Movement disorders specialists, experts in memory and cognition, social workers, rehab professionals, and faith-based and community advocates will facilitate community conversations, providing resources, education, and information.

Dr. Ray Dorsey is a neurologist, researcher, and public health advocate working to end Parkinson's disease by addressing its root causes: toxic environmental exposures. He is the co-author of The Parkinson's Plan (2025) and Ending Parkinson's Disease (2020).

About the Expert: Dr. Daniel Weintraub is an attending physician at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and a consultant psychiatrist at the Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders Center (PDMDC) at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
