Accessible Programs: Workshops for People with Parkinson’s and their Care-Partners

Masters in Disguise

Participants will start off the painting workshop in the studio and will choose a small section of a mystery museum masterpiece to use as a basis for creating their own work of art.

Participants will examine color, technique and composition of the master work. After learning how to mix paint to achieve a desired color match, you will use what you learn to seamlessly blend and disguise the master work with your own creation.

Tour

After you create your work of art, a Museum guide will lead you on a search for your mystery masterpieces in our European Art:  1850-1900 galleries. As you find your masterpieces, you will learn about the artists and artwork you have been examining and will compare all the different approaches to disguising the pieces.

Information

These workshops for people with Parkinson’s disease and their care partners include a one-hour private guided tour and a two-hour studio experience.  The fee for Workshops is $10.00 per person, Care Partners are admitted free of charge, parking is included.
