Andrew Siderowf, MD MS is the Hurtig-Stern Professor of Neurology and the Chief of the Movement Disorders Division in the Penn Perelman School of Medicine Department of Neurology.
Dr. Siderowf will discuss how the past 12 months have seen substantial developments in diagnostics tests for Parkinson’s disease, particularly synuclein seed amplification.
Consensus is still developing about how those developments fit into clinical care. The academic community and pharmaceutical companies are enthusiastic about their application in research and how they might speed up the development of better treatments for Parkinson’s disease.
