SUMMARY:Share our Knowledge with Dr. Daniel Kremens
DESCRIPTION:Daniel Kremens\, MD\, JD\, FAAN is a Professor of Neurology\, Vice Chair for Education\, the Co-Director of the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center at the Vickie and Jack Farber Institute for Neuroscience at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Jefferson University and the Director of the Optimal Brain Health Program at the Marcus Institute of Integrative Health in Philadelphia. \nDr. Kremens graduated from Columbia College summa cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He later graduated from Columbia Law School and practiced complex corporate litigation law at major law firms in New York City for seven years. \nDr. Kremens then returned to medical school and graduated from Jefferson Medical College\, where he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. He completed his Neurology residency followed by a Movement Disorders fellowship at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. \nDr. Kremens is a Fellow of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology\, a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology\, a member of the Movement Disorder Society\, and a full member of the International Association of Parkinsonism and Related Disorders. He has been the principal investigator on numerous studies and is a reviewer for multiple peer-reviewed journals. His academic interests include brain health\, preventive neurology\, neuroprotection\, non-motor symptoms in Parkinson’s disease\, and integrative therapies. \nHe is actively involved in medical education and serves as the Vice Chair for Education in the Department of Neurology at Sidney Kimmel Medical College.  He has received the Dean’s Citation for Teaching from Sidney Kimmel Medical College multiple times. He has received the A.B. Baker Teacher Recognition Award from the American Academy of Neurology. Dr. Kremens is also a recipient of the Outstanding Clinician Award from Jefferson University.

DESCRIPTION:About the Expert: \nDr. Daniel Weintraub is an attending physician at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center\, and a consultant psychiatrist at the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center (PDMDC) at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He completed medical\, psychiatry residency\, and geriatric psychiatry fellowship training at the University of Maryland. \nHis areas of research interest include the psychiatric and cognitive complications of Parkinson’s disease.
