This is what #philanthropylookslike! During April’s National Parkinson’s Disease Awarness Month, Renaissance Academy Student Action Committee sponsored Pots for Parkinson’s to bring awareness and raise funds for The Parkinson Council.
A loved teacher, Marilyn Thomas, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease three years ago. In her honor and all those affected by this disease, Renaissance Academy would like to bring awareness and find a cure for Parkinson’s Disease. Living with Parkinson’s disease sparked a talent and a passion for painting that Marilyn never knew lived within her.
To date, talented students and faculty has raised over $2,000 in support of The Parkinson Council. We are tremendously grateful to the entire Renaissance family and community for their dedication to people living and thriving with Parkinson’s disease.
